Experimental investigations of spray flow rate and angle in enhancing the performance of PV panels by steady and pulsating water spray system

Abstract In this study, a spray cooling system is experimentally investigated to increase the photovoltaic panel efficiency. Cooling of panels one important parameters that affects PV performance. experiment effects angle, nozzles distance, number nozzles, and pulsating water on performance are investigated. For purpose, an experimental setup was made. The angles varied from 15° 50°. comparison between shows by decreasing angle increases electrical efficiency 19.78% simultaneously average temperature decreases 64 (for non-cooled PV) 24 °C. Also, nozzle distance changed 10 50 cm. best result obtained for lowest 25.86% in power output. Study various frequency also show due surface evaporation intensity radiation, increasing spraying can or decrease On–Off results maximum with 0.2 Hz which it 16.84%. Water consumption decreased half.
